Nowadays, the use of emails is getting more and more popular. Because of its advantage. When it comes to the topic of men are career-centered and women are marriage-centered, different people holds different views. For my perspective, I agree with this view entirely. In the film of “The Devil Wears Prada”, Miranda is a workaholic, her career is very successful. The company is famous in the world, but her family life is bad, divorce again and again. Her husband can’t put up with the queen.

“Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus”, this book describe the different between men and women. Women should look after their kids, but men is not good at this job. There are lots of jobs like that look after kids in a family. So I agree with this point of view.

A sense of humor is very important to social life. People are more likely to get along with someone who is humor and interesting. Especially when we feel embarrassed or anxious about some certain things, a humor can relax and entertain us to some extent. As the author in the textbook illustrates, the young

man saved his job fortunately with the usage of a humor, along with his success in saving the job, everyone in the office was entertained and made to laugh. Humor is very important, But not everyone is humorous. as a kind of personality, humor is not born with a man, and anyone can cultivate his sense of humor if he loves to laugh. You must practice so that it becomes more natural. You will have plenty of friends with your sense of humor.

5. What factors influence people’s judgment about a person’s honesty? Give examples.

Different people have different judgment.（Everyone to judge the others honest standard is not the same.） Some focus on the appearance of others, some pay attention to the way of speaking, some think that his body language and behavior is a crucial factor. Generally, to determine whether a person is honest, is by his tone of voice. But through one’s talking tone and intonation is not enough, the eyes contact is also very important. If someone always re-emphasize what he says is true, and tries to avoid others’ observation, I will doubt whether his word can be relied on.

Which character (人物) do you like better, George or Tom? Why or why not?

In my opinion, Tom is a person who enjoys his daily life, and has the courage to pursue the life he wants. But he is an irresponsible, selfish person. And to some

extent, he was a drag of family. Moreover he has done for his brother is really cruel. Telling a lie, deceiving his brother and threat to his brother, these acts have proved that he is extremely selfish. I would choose George’s lifestyle. It’s very stable, comfortable. I will not live in fear, not despised. A stable life will make me feel a sense of security. Real life does not require too much adventure.

I believe that the most precious thing in the world is love, which is as important as air .
